- Can I register in, say, week 30 of the competition and still be eligible to win?
Yes. Since a new blog wins each week, you’ll definitely be a contender. However, we encourage you to blog as much as possible to give people something to read. - Are there minimum and maximum lengths of blogs?
No. However, the more you blog the more likely people will be to vote for you since they’ll have more to go on! - What if someone has been blogging for years and someone else has been only blogging for a month?
We encourage people to not compare their blogs to anyone else’s. First of all, who knows what other people will like to read. Everyone has different tastes. Second of all, the more people you tell about your blog, the more votes you’ll get. It’s all up to you. - Why does it have to be real, and how do you assure that every detail is real?
The Blog4Reel competition is predicated on the idea that the lives people are blogging about are true and based on themselves because we are fascinated by your lives. Why make something up when what you already have to offer is so rich with what life is all about. Of course, if you fib about a few things here and there to make it sound better it’s unlikely we will find out, but before any winners are announced the blogs will have to go through a lawyer. If you are blogging about someone else – whether a fictional character or a real character, you will not be eligible to win the competition. - What if I want my blog to stay private, even if I win the competition?
We respect your right to privacy and would hold confidential all names of persons who wish to be so. - Whats a blog?
For those of you who don’t already know, blogs are also known as Weblogs or Online Journals and contain your thoughts, your ideas, your life. A lot of people blog about their everyday life, some about their travels or their passions. There’s really no limit to what you can blog about. - How does the voting work? You can give one vote each to as many blogs as you like ONCE a day. March 2008 (12:00 am) – Blog4Reel Officially Launches! Although as of February we are "soft launching" - meaning people can start signing up, blogging, etc. We want to allow for any kinks or bugs that need to be worked out so please let us know if somethings not working for you. Blog4Reel is giving contestants some time to write more on their already established blog or get one started. This doesn’t mean you should write out your whole life if you don’t already have a blog. We recommend writing once a day to keep ‘em coming back for more!

February 28, 2009 – Blog4Reel Announces Blog Competition Winner(s).
VOTING ROUNDS:
ROUND 1 (Peer Voting): All registered members of blog4reel.com can vote once a day FOR ONE BLOG ONLY. At the end of each week (SUNDAYs at 12:00 a.m. to SATURDAYs at 11:59 p.m.) the blog with the most number of votes will be entered into ROUND 2. No Blog can win twice. If a blog which has already won once wins again, the blog with the next highest number of votes will be entered into ROUND 2 for that week. Again we still encourage you to write consistently and encourage your fans to vote for you because this will help you in Rounds 2 & 3.
PLEASE BE AWARE: Members will be restricted from voting more than once a day.
ROUND 2 (Peer Voting): At the end of ROUND 1, there will be 39 Semifinalists. ROUND 2 is for you to help us decide who the winner should be. All registered members can only vote once and voting will last for three weeks, so make sure to get your vote in before the competition ends. Only 10 blogs will make it to the 3rd and final ROUND.
ROUND 3 (Judges Panel): The 10 Finalists will be read by a panel of Judges comprised of 5 Industry Professionals (to be announced). The Judges will pick the top three blogs to receive awards. Only one Blog will receive the Grand Prize of $2,000! -

No, they are not part of the competition. They can not be voted on; nor can they win the contest. The Blog4Reel Bloggers are here solely for the enjoyment of the readers. -
Why is there no Voting Link on my blog for people to vote?
Please make sure that when you added your blog that you copied the HTML code (located in the box below your link) and pasted it to the "source code" for your blog. This is what enables us to add a Voting Link to your blog. If you can not find out where to put this please contact your blog site to find out where it is located. If you find you are still having trouble, please e-mail us at info@blog4reel.com. -
Are you committed to bringing the winning blog, then script, into fruition as a film?
Yes, definitely! We wouldnt be doing this if we werent fully committed to bringing your amazing blogs to life. -
